An interval is the distance (in steps) in halftones from a particular note to another. Intervals are the building blocks of chords and scales. Following are all the intervals in a octave.

NOTE:
1. Diminished 5th can also be named augmented 4th.
2. Minor 6th can also be named augmented 5 th.
